Have to hand it to Jim Mora, head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. There’s nothing like 2 days before a big game against the Dallas Cowboys, a must win fo rthe Falcons for their playoff hopes, and basically saying you really don’t want to be where your at. While doing a radio interview with an old college buddy he said he would take the University of Washington head coaching job if it opened up. He sais he would like to see Ty Willingham and Washington succeed, bu if the job would open up he would basically be the first in line. Friday he said it was a joke, sure, it would be a little more believable as a joke if you hadn’t said you were dead serious. This is just what you need with 3 games left, fighting for the playoffs and your head coach pulling this on you. What does that say? How do you react to it? What will happen in the Atlanta area if the Falcons lose Saturday night? Maybe he is trying to get out since his father Jim Mora Sr., called Micheal Vick a coach killer. That may be a joke among friends but you don’t say something like that on a radio interview. If the Falcons lose their next three games, you may just be sitting at home next season waiting for the Washington job to open up. Smart move.
