You could say the 76ers made more noise with who they traded than who they drafted. The biggest deal they made was the salary dump by sending Al Horford to the Thunder. The 76ers sent Horford, a slightly protected 2025 first round pick, the 34th pick (Theo Maledon), and the rights to Vasilije Micic to the Thunder got Danny Green, and Terrance Ferguson. The second deal was sending Josh Richardson, and the 36th pick (Tyler Bey) to the Mavericks for Seth Curry. Considering any draft is a crap shoot with no guarantees the picks will pan out, you do have to like who the 76ers drafted for one reason, they are healthy. The 76ers have recently drafted some injured players, we all know who they are, that it took a couple of years before they were able to get on the court and play, so this is a good sign. Here are the players the 76ers actually drafted.
21. Tyrese Maxey, PG Kentucky
49. Isaiah Joe, SG Arkansas
58. Paul Reed, PF DePaul
Now that Brett Brown is out and Doc Rivers is in maybe these guys have a decent shot of hanging around a while, and getting playing time. Welcome to Philly , and good luck.
