Phillies – Pirates Recap Quickie

The Phillies came into their weekend “Battle of Pa.” series looking to at least taking the series from their cross state rival Pirates if not sweeping the series. The Phillies avoided the complete disaster of being swept by the Pirates by taking the series finale 15-4 on Sunday afternoon. Recently acquired Kyle Gibson made his first start as a Phillie going 6.2 IP giving up 5 hits, 2 runs, walking 2 and striking out 5. Jean Segura 2/4, 3 RBI, J.t Realmuto 5/6, 4 RBI, Alec Bohm 2/5, 2 RBI, Didi Gregorius 3/5, 3 RBI, Odubel Herrera 2/4, 2 RBI led the Phillies offensive explosion.
